What Smokin’ at the Track is all about.

Smokin at the Track was started with one goal in mind. To bring the fans of auto racing and Bar B Que together for a great time during a race weekend.

It all started in the Fall of 2014 at a race weekend. The smell of smoke in the air, the roar of race cars, and the cheers of thousands of passionate fans were all that it took to set tin motion the plan of bringing race fans the next level of race weekend enjoyment, “Quetainment”.

It was not long before that passion caught the attention of the “Winningest Man in Bar-B-Que”, Myron Mixon.  With Myron in the mix, along with his bold and entertaining personality, it is easy to see how Smokin at the Track would be a real crowd pleaser. Bringing Myron’s numerous industry brands as well as his star power from Destination America’s BBQ Pitmasters, BBQ Pit Wars, and BBQ Rules, we now had the right people, idea and name….. “Quetainment.”

Smokin’ at the Track brings the passion of racing and Bar-B-Que together with professional demonstrations, corporate entertainment/catering, “Que Classes”, bonfires, telecasts of race activity on large screen monitors, and state of the art equipment, creating a track experience like no other. Creating the one and only… “Quetainment”.

A 4-time world barbecue champion, Myron Mixon is the “Winningest” man in the barbeque!  This rock star of the BBQ world has won over 200 grand championships resulting in over 1,800 total trophies, 30 state championships, 8 Team of the Year awards, and 11 national championships.  He has been on TV, as the host and executive produced several series with one on its impressive eighth season.  A New York Times bestselling cookbook author, hosts his own cooking school, producer of proprietary spices, line of cutlery, and apparel are just a few accolades this award winning BBQ Pitmaster brings to the table.  Anyone who takes barbeque serious knows who Myron Mixon is, and the attendance at his cooking school teaching others his craft, speaks for itself.

David Mixon, son of Myron Mixon, is the third generation of his family in the barbecue business focusing on the commercial sales of Myron Mixon Smokers.  His love for barbeque is literally in his blood.  As a child he stood by the side of his Grandaddy barbequing and smoking as his Grandmother made sauces from scratch.  David has extensive experience in the banking industry, which makes him a valuable asset to this team.  He was also recently elected to the National Barbecue and Grilling Association Board of Directors.

Pitmaster Rodney Renner developed a love for cooking at an early age and has honed his skills on both the back yard and professional level throughout the years.  He turned his love for barbeque into a recipe for success making his mark on the cooking circuit for several years with a competition team and has several awards and credits to his name.  His love for cooking and passion for track racing spans his entire life making him a perfect partner in a race based operation.

Bubba holds the prestigious title of #1 BBQ Pitmaster 4 years in a row on The National BBQ Rankings. His family owns two BBQ restaurants in GA, Woodstock and the original in Jasper.  He has entered over 400 contests, winning 45 Grand Champions, 33 Reserve Grand Champions and won over 600 awards in the 4 different meat categories (chicken, ribs, pork, and brisket).  Bubba has also attained the very prestigious win of which all 4 meat categories were swept against over 50 other teams resulting in a Grand Champion victory. They have been featured on Food Network, TLC, Travel Channel and created championship BBQ rubs and sauces under the label Bub-Ba-Q.

These four come together to form the “Dream Team” in the BBQ world.  They travel with one truck, one 42’ RV, one supply trailer, and one 44’ x 8’ Rig that opens up into BBQ heaven… fitted with top of the line “Myron Mixon Equipment”, and a state of the art full kitchen.  So… There is plenty of real estate on these four units for your company to be seen all over the United States!
